In the hot summer, air conditioners are turned on everywhere in hotels, shopping malls, supermarkets and homes. We can often see the air conditioner condensed water dripping. If there is a large amount of condensed water, it may be that your fan coil air conditioner is in trouble. What should we do?
What is condensed water?

Condensed water is liquid water formed from the steam in the fan coil air conditioner through the condensation process, which generally flows to the condensate water collecting tray below the evaporator, and then is collected from the drain of the condensate water tray to the condensate water pipe for discharge. The flow rate of condensed water is related to air humidity, dew point temperature and indoor temperature. If there is a large amount of condensed water, you should pay attention to the following points:

1. The condensate drain pan is small

The area of the water receiving tray under the fan coil unit is smaller than that of the unit surface cooler, and condensation water will drop outside

Solution: lengthen the condensate pan to ensure that the condensate water at the valve joint can be caught and drained away

2. The insulation of connecting air pipe and cold water pipe is not in place

When the insulation is not in place, once the air pipe and cold water pipe are in contact with the outside air, condensation will appear on the pipe wall, and then it will drip on the insulation cotton. When the insulation cotton absorbs water to a certain extent, condensation will appear.

Solution: The insulation layer must be firmly attached to the pipeline to prevent air from entering, and the thickness must ensure a certain thermal resistance to prevent the surface temperature of the insulation cotton from being too low to form condensation.

3. The gradient of condensate pipe is not enough

If the gradient of the condensate pipe is too flat or insufficient, it will cause the condensate to flow out unsmooth and even drip during the backflow.

Solution: To travel at a certain slope, it is best to set up pipes nearby to drain water, speed up drainage and avoid dripping.

4. Condensation of fan coil unit shell

Inappropriate insulation materials of the unit cause condensation on the surface of the shell

Solution: The thermal resistance of the insulation layer is not less than 0.68㎡.k/w, and the fan coil unit is internally insulated

5. The connection insulation between the surface cooler of fan coil and the water receiving tray is not in place

The surface temperature of the surface cooler is low, and the condensate tray is connected with it. If it is not insulated, it will form a cold bridge and produce condensation

Solution: Add pad for heat insulation treatment, and the surface of screw should also be insulated.

6. The insulation of condensate pipe of fan coil unit is not in place

In addition to the insulation of cold water pipes, attention should also be paid to the insulation of condensate pipes

Solution: the heat preservation of the wringing pipe should also have a certain thickness, and the wall pipe should be attached to prevent air from entering
