Why is the outlet water of air source heat pump not hot?

Recently, some customers have reported that their own air source heat pump has been used for a long time and found that it is not as hot as before. Today, I will summarize the four reasons why the outlet water of air source heat pump is not hot.

With the increasing emphasis on new energy sources in the world, the air source heat pump, a new generation of heating equipment, is becoming more and more well known. In recent years, heat pump equipment has been rapidly popularized in various places, and quickly gained a number of "fans". However, because the equipment is relatively new, some friends don't know much about the specific use and maintenance details of the heat pump.

Recently, some customers have reported that their own air source heat pump has been used for a long time and found that it is not as hot as before. Today, I will summarize the four reasons why the outlet water of air source heat pump is not hot.

1. Heat pump refrigerant quantity is insufficient

Refrigerant is the key substance of air energy water heater. In order to complete heating, the air source water heater must use refrigerant as the intermediate medium to continuously absorb the heat in the air. However, the air source heat pump has been used for a long time, and refrigerant leakage may occur. Once the amount of refrigerant is reduced, the heating capacity of equipment will naturally decrease, and then the temperature of hot water will drop obviously. The solution is simple, contact the after-sales personnel and replenish the refrigerant.

2. Excessive scale accumulation

Because each component of air source heat pump is in hot water environment for a long time, it is easy to accumulate scale. Scale contains various complex components with low thermal conductivity, which accumulates in a large amount in the hot water system and will occupy the space originally belonging to hot water. As a result, the heating effect of air energy heat pump is obviously attenuated. The solution is to contact technicians and clean the air source heat pump equipment regularly.

3. The equipment installation work is not done well

Air source heat pump needs to absorb the heat in the air before heating. Therefore, although it does not need to consume coal and natural gas, more attention should be paid to the installation position. Usually, it is recommended that the air source heat pump be installed in a place with good air circulation, such as balcony, outdoor air conditioning station, outdoor platform and so on. These locations not only have strong air circulation, but also have appropriate air temperature, which is more conducive to heat absorption and heating of air source heat pump.

4. Excessive fouling of evaporator fins

Since dirt may accumulate inside the water system, the evaporator fins of the air source water heater that are in direct contact with the outside are the same. Air energy water heater needs to contact air through evaporator fins to absorb heat energy from air. Generally speaking, the larger the contact area between evaporator fins and air, the better the overall heating effect of the equipment. However, in the long-term working process, dust, hair and other substances in the air may cover the fins and affect the heating of air energy. So how should it be cleaned? Very simple, turn off the water heater, spray the corresponding cleaning agent on the evaporator fins, wipe it from top to bottom with a rag, and finally rinse it with clear water.
